Director of Rowing
Nick has been rowing since he was twelve, coming from a family of rowers. He rowed 4 years for Saint John’s High School, taking home a bronze championship medal at the 2010 NEIRAs. He rowed one season for WPI and won a silver medal in the 2010 Novice Challenge. Nick started coaching for Worcester Academy in 2012 and that summer won a silver medal in the parent/child race at Masters Nationals. Nick is currently assistant coach at Saint John’s High School in Shrewsbury. He is also head coach of the Shrewsbury Parks and Recreation department summer rowing program. Nick has coached at the WPI summer crew camp since 2013, and coaching and rowing for the QRC since 2012. He coaches sculling as well as sweep rowing in team boats for the QRC’s masters programs.
Tony has coached for three years at Saint John’s high school in Shrewsbury, MA. He is a 2005 graduate of SJ and went on to row at McGill University and the University of Birmingham in the UK. He also coached at various programs including: the College of the Holy Cross, McGill University, and the University of Birmingham. Notable racing/coaching achievements include: two top-five finishes at the Head of the Charles Regatta qualifying for the Royal Henley Regatta, and coaching a boat to a top-5 divisional finish in the Women’s Head of the River in the UK. This is his first season coaching for the Quinsigamond Rowing Club.
