QRC WELCOME Orientation
Saturdays, 8am – 8:30am

Covers all aspects of the club – how to join, get a card key, join classes, take the captains test, race with the club, who to call for what, etc.

  

Private Sculling Lessons
$40 for 90 minutes.

Membership Required. Can be for a single person or a group. As scheduled between the member(s) and the coach. Sign up through Regatta Central. Once you have signed up for a lesson, you will be put in contact with the coach to arrange a time and objectives.

Open Sculling
Fridays through Sept 27. 5:30 – 7am

No Fee

Membership Required. Open to any member who wants to improve their sculling. Focus will be on skill development with drills. No minimum or max participants. Coach will be on the dock. Scullers will check-in, get some feedback and go practice. Sign up by Wednesday at 8pm. (https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1ITik2yu3lRMCNrLSv3llbEIOz4RiAYFSrbK9U7UEpPI/edit?usp=sharing) Reserve boats as normal through Regatta Central. If demand is high for this, maybe a second day during the week is added.

  

Open Sweeping
Saturdays through October 26. 7 – 8:30am

No Fee

Membership Required. Open to any member that wants to improve their sweep rowing. Focus will be on skill development with drills. Minimum 4. Sign up by Thursday at 8pm. Learn To Row Scull – Tuesday
August 20, 2019 – September 24, 2019

  • Tuesday, 5:30 AM -7:00 AM

Must be 18 years of age. 6 sessions. Membership required! Intended for scullers transitioning from beginners. Learn boat handling and the fundamentals of the finer elements of the sculling stroke. Focus is on rowing without pontoons. If more than 4 people, program will use doubles to limit number of boats to 4. Coach: Sukh Kaur. Min. 4, max 6 participants. Full refund if the program is cancelled due to min. number of rowers not being met

Women’s Competitive Sweep
July 29, 2019 – November 2019- Head Race Season

  • Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays 5:15 AM -6:45 AM

Membership required! Minimum age 18.
Min 4 rowers. Membership Required. For competitive rowers who want to race & commit to regular workouts both as a group and individually. The goal of this program is to put forth the most competitive possible boat/boats at regattas. The coach will distribute workouts and handle boat lineups for races. Organization/costs incurred for race registration, travel expenses, and trailering boats is the responsibility of the team Captain and racing crew. Coxes provided.

Men’s Competitive Sweep and Scull

Captain’s Test Class
Last Saturday of the month 7 – 8:30am

No Fee

Membership Required. Open to any member that wants to learn what skills are necessary to pass the Club’s Captain’s Test. This is a boat management intensive class – getting a boat on and off a rack, launching & landing, rowing backwards and turning, rowing on the square. Most of the time will be spent on land and/ or near the docks. Sign up by Thursday at 8pm. (Link to Google sheet coming soon).
