Varsity rower Daniel Aziz – Pull for a Cure

Created and supported by the Mass General Cancer Center, the one hundred honors 100 Everyday Amazing individuals and groups each year who are changing how we fight cancer. Their commitment inspires us all to take action. “Varsity rower Daniel Aziz literally launched his annual breast cancer fundraising and awareness initiative, Pull for a Cure, on the water. A junior at Brown University in 2009, he recruited his entire crew team to help. The team raised $25,000 leading up to and culminating at the prestigious Head Of The Charles® Regatta, held in Boston every October, breast cancer awareness month.

QRC’s Ami Mehr  was the challenge’s top fundraiser in 2014. “As a recent breast cancer survivor and rower, it was extremely meaningful for me to see so many rowers on the Charles River wearing pink,” she says. “Dan’s organization is very important because it gives rowers an opportunity to raise awareness about breast cancer at one of the world’s largest regattas.”
