Learn To Row – Scull
Learn the basic sculling stroke, how to handle equipment safely, rules of the boathouse, bay, and lake. Should be able to lift 50 lbs. Membership is not required to sign up. Coach provided.
Novice Sculling
Intended for scullers transitioning from beginners. Learn boat handling and the fundamentals of the finer elements of the sculling stroke. Should be able to lift 50 lbs. Coach provided.
Learn To Row – Sweep
Learn the basic sweep rowing technique, how to handle equipment safely, rules of the boathouse, bay, and lake. Should be able to lift 50 lbs. Membership is not required to sign up. Coach provided.
Sweep – Recreational
Focus on getting back into boats, continued development of sweep rowing skills, improving fitness, enjoying outdoor recreation.
Intermediate Sweep
Open to men and women who want to row in sweep boats and improve their technique and fitness level. Coaches and coxes provided.
Women’s Competitive Team (Sweep & Scull)
Thirteen weeks (3x/wk coached). Competitive rowers who desire to race & commit to regular workouts as a group and individually. Goal: to enter the most competitive boats at regattas with the intent that everyone participates in at least one race. Sessions offered for sprint and head race seasons. Coaches and coxswains provided.
Men’s Competitive Sculling
Six weeks (2x/wk coached, 1x un-coached). Competitive rowers who desire to race & commit to regular workouts as a group and individually. Goal: to enter the most competitive boats at regattas. Coach provided.
Winter Tank Training
4 weeks (1x/wk) Supplement your winter training with 4 weeks of sweep technique work at the Holy Cross indoor rowing tanks in Worcester. Several consecutive sessions offered. Program runs on Sundays.
